Elections: Analysis of the Voting Process Abroad

In 2022, Neutrinos IT Association conducted a project analyzing the voting process for Serbian citizens abroad, focusing on the challenges and shortcomings in the organization and transparency of this important democratic process. The project involved in-depth research into existing procedures and the issues faced by voters abroad, including the availability of polling stations, the efficiency of registration for voting, and technical and logistical barriers that hinder the exercise of voting rights.

In collaboration with legal and technical experts, the Neutrinos IT Association team analyzed specific obstacles affecting voter turnout for Serbian citizens living abroad, providing recommendations for improving the voting system. The analysis also highlighted deficiencies in the security and transparency of the process, with proposals for enhancing the digital infrastructure to ensure greater security, speed, and accessibility.

The results of this project laid the foundation for further work on improving the voting system abroad, aiming to provide all Serbian citizens with equal and accessible voting rights, regardless of their location.
